ProcSet Media Solutions and compass have networked their solutions within the scope of the joint project for the Lüneburger Landeszeitung and thus achieved a continuous workflow from the commercial ad acceptance to the ad set.
Thus, the new [advantage] ProcSet Connector is now also available to all new and existing customers.
Initiator of the project was the technical director of the Lüneburger Landeszeitung, Herbert Baumeister. It was clear to him that the use of different typesetting editors can no longer be considered up-to-date. For this reason, the “classic constellation” was not to be implemented as part of the technical reorientation of the publishing house. This is because the commercial ad system usually works with a proprietary “own” editor, while the typesetting department works with QuarkXPress or Adobe InDesign. Now, however, InDesign should be the tool of the future for the publisher, both for ad acceptance and ad typesetting.
This resulted in the task of addressing InDesign as a direct design tool from the commercial ad acceptance department. Thanks to the open technologies of ProcSet Media Solutions and compass this could be realized with little effort.
“A successful integration of two highly specialized applications”, says Herbert Baumeister “we have thus jointly proven that – with the right partners – there is no need to worry about interfaces and a cooperative collaboration between suppliers and customers”.
