On 6 October 2010, the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (F.A.Z.) ordered the system extension ProcSet involve from ProcSet Media Solutions at IFRA Expo 2010.
ProcSet involve enables motif delivery and order linking via a publisher’s own customer portal. The customer or the agency commissioned by the customer thus becomes an interactive partner in a significantly more efficient production process. The users of this service have personal online workspaces at their disposal. This is where the file upload, the link to the order and further communication with the publisher take place. ProcSet adjust automatically analyzes and processes the transferred documents and performs an order-related target-performance comparison regarding color and geometry. Finally, a test report including softproof is generated and stored in the customer’s workspace for control purposes.
“We were convinced by the simple and elegant way in which customers and agencies can deliver motifs via the web portal and link them to the order”, says Stephan Puls, head of publishing production at Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung.
The customer benefits greatly from direct access to the test report and softproof, as he can immediately recognize the quality of the data supplied and thus react in good time in the event of errors. At the same time, the internal processing effort in the publishing house is reduced to a great extent, creating a real win-win situation. The Berlin software house ProcSet Media Solutions has specialized in optimizing the entire process of ad production by means of innovative system solutions. In the sense of an efficient overall workflow, the classic boundaries between commercial and technical ad processing are eliminated.
